NEW 6.30-7.30pm TaiChi Qigong Sanctuary- Beginners NEW
In this new 'Sanctuary' class the doors open 15 minutes before the class starts to allow participants to wander in and sit quietly, eyes closed, on one of the chairs provided. Breather deeply, calm your mind and let go of the day's problems before the class starts. Our instructor then leads everyone in a short meditation, then chairs and put away and we begin the exercises. Our room is tastefully decorated with ethnic wall hangings and soft coloured lights create a welcoming feel, gentle music or isochronic tones are used to promote relaxation.
This class is held in a small venue, where 10 is our average class size. It is designed as a progressive course for people who can commit to attending on a weekly basis, where work or family duties wont get in the way of an hour's class at a fixed time each week. If you know that you often have to work late or cannot get to the venue by 6.30 on a regular basis, we politely ask that you don't request a place in this class. Although it is a pay weekly class, the same place is reserved for you every week.
7.30-8.30pm TaiChi Qigong Sanctuary- Improvers
(note this class runs from 7-8pm in July and August 2019 and returns to 7.30 in September))
NEW 10.00-11.00am Meditative Chair Based Tai Chi Qigong for Health and Guided Meditation - All Levels NEW
We are offering this new ONE HOUR class starting on 3rd September 2019, in response to requests for a seated class that offers seated Tai Chi / Health Qigong exercises and meditative techniques & practice to enhance wellbeing of body and mind. The whole class is performed seated on chairs, although if you prefer to stand for the exercises, just take a seat in the back row and stand behind your chair for that part of the class. The room is decorated with wall hangings and softly lit with coloured lights. The blinds are lowered on the windows to dim the room and create a feeling of calm. Soft music is used and there is clear instruction and follow-me demonstrations throughout. No experience is necessary. Unfortunately we cannot cater for those with learning difficulties or mental health diagnoses as our instructor is not qualified to teach people with special needs.

From M3, A331 Farnborough Aldershot Ash Vale & Camberley:
Travel along Mytchett Rd (B3411) and at the mini roundabout, near the BP Garage, turn east onto Mytchett Place Rd. There is a brown sign at this roundabout for the canal centre.
A little way along Mytchett Place Rd, you will come to a hump-back bridge with traffic signals & a single direction traffic flow. Just after you have crossed over this bridge take the turning on the left. There is another brown sign for the canal centre here.
*At the brown 'Canal Centre' sign, follow the road around to the left and you will find yourself in the centre's free car park. If you go past a childrens playground or arrive at a big field / campsite, then you have gone slightly too far. But you can park there and walk back, going around to the far side of the buildings. In the evenings the car park barrier will be closed, those who have pre-registered for the class are given the code to open the barrier
We are situated in the long cabin next to the childrens playground. The main door to the office / shop may be locked but you can enter our room via the blue door nearest to the entrance to the canal centre grounds
From Woking/ Pirbright
If you come 'the back way' then you will may be travelling towards Farnborough along Mytchett Place Rd. Turn right immediately before the hump-back bridge (opposite Potters) then follow the directions from *above.
